Authority granted to instruct Legal Services to review and complete a Wayleave Agreement for the installation of approximately 48 metres of underground duct and cables on land outside xx East Bank Walk, Littlehampton. The apparatus is required to improve connectivity coverage in the local area.

Reasons for the decision

To grant Openreach permission to install the required apparatus. The Greenspace Team was consulted and agreed to the proposal. Openreach agreed to meet the council’s legal costs of £559.90 plus VAT and to pay consideration of £113.28.

Alternative options considered

Refusal of the request. This option was rejected due to the potential deleterious effect on the local broadband network.
