It was
RESOLVED: -
1.1        
That Cabinet noted the performance for Q3 for
24-25, including the key performance indicators that are shown as
red in the status and commentary around these.
REASON FOR
DECISION
To
ensure overview of Council performance and areas of focus where
performance is not where it is expected to be, and mitigation
measures to address any KPIs below agreed targets.
Alternative Options Considered and Rejected:
Option 1: No reporting on council performance – not
pursued as good governance requires regular review of performance
against council objectives and statutory duties. 2.1.2
Option 2: Reporting on statutory performance requirements only
– not pursued as performance is wider than just the
Council’s statutory duties, it also entails the priorities
identified in the Mid Suffolk Plan. 2.1.3
Option 3: Reporting on Key Performance Indicators and connected
actions that are 80% or greater complete – currently the
option pursued for Q4 performance reporting. 2.1.4
Option 4: Reporting on Key Performance Indicators and progress
on the Council’s agreed strategies, connected to actions
identified from risk mitigation – not pursued at present, but
as shown in the report below performance reporting is under
development and will change moving forward into future
quarters
