Purpose

To
note the Action Plan for delivery of the BMSDC Economic
Strategy 
 

Content

It was
RESOLVED: -
 
1.1         
That Members endorsed the action plan to enable
the Council to deliver against the ambitions contained within the
Economic Strategy.

 
1.2         
The Director of Place, in consultation with the
relevant Cabinet Member, be delegated authority to make amendments
and updates to the Action Plan, in response to changing
needs.

 
1.3         
That an annual report would be produced to
provide updates on delivery against the Action Plan including
KPI’s and measures of success.
 
REASON FOR
DECISION
 
That
the Council has a structured and focused Action Plan that
accompanies its Economic Strategy to ensure its ambitions, visions
and priorities are delivered in a clear and measurable
way.
 
Alternative
Options Considered and Rejected:
 
Do
nothing and continue delivery of services already being delivered
(Business as usual).
 
Ad
hoc delivery of actions based on strategy when opportunities
present themselves rather than within a defined ‘Action
plan’.
