Purpose

To
endorse the progress of the Funding and Grants Review Action Plan
adopted at Cabinet on Mid Suffolk 15 July 2024
 

Content

It
was RESOLVED: -
 
1.1          That
Cabinet noted the progress achieved on the action plan adopted in
July 2024.

 

1.2         
That
Cabinet agreed additional new changes to the Locality Award
Criteria (appendix F) with immediate effect
including that
a Councillor could provide grant funding to any fully
costed Parish Council project up to the value of
£5,000.

 

1.3          That
Cabinet agreed to delegate authority to the Director of Place, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Thriving Communities, to
make amendments as appropriate to the criteria and guidance for
grant funding to ensure that it remained relevant, useful and
accessible.
 
REASON FOR DECISION
 
So that Cabinet was satisfied
that the action plan had achieved it’s intended improvements
with regard to better internal ways of working and greater
effectiveness of the grant allocations.
