That
Cabinet:
 
1.1         
Noted the progress made to date in delivering the
Rural Transport Grant scheme pilots, and how they are being adapted
in reaction to lessons learned so far.

 
1.2         
Requested a further report (in Autumn 2026)
following the conclusion of the pilots / the funding agreements
with operators in August, to review overall outcomes, financial
position, and options for future rural transport
provision.

 
1.3         
Noted that just over £200,000 remains
available to invest in rural sustainable transport, and options for
this would be identified and considered within the further
report.
 
 
REASON FOR
DECISION
To
ensure Cabinet was kept informed of the adapting delivery of the
Rural Transport Grant Scheme pilots, and when they would hear a
full evaluation of the pilots.
