The Licensing Regulatory Board
Sub-Committee is made up of any three elected councillors from the
Licensing Regulatory Board. It considers applications
for premises or personal licences for entertainment venues or the
sale of alcohol where objections have been received. The
Sub-Committee considers appeals made by private hire and hackney
carriages drivers and operators about the refusal or revocation of
licences. It also deals with applications for licences
where adverse reports have been received. In doing this, it has to
take into account national and local policies, and the relevant
legislation. You will find more information in
the Constitution.
