Decision

Notwithstanding the provision of existing speed cushions on Dearne Road, Bolton upon Dearne, concerns have been raised by residents via their Local Ward Members around the excessive speed of some drivers who use the southern section of this route in the vicinity of Nos. 159 to 175 where both the road widens and there is a change in the horizontal alignment.

With this in mind, and following discussions with Local Ward Members, the Council propose to relocate two existing pairs of speed cushions to reduce vehicle speeds and improve road safety on Dearne Road, Bolton upon Dearne.

The proposals be advertised and any objections to be the subject of a report to Cabinet. If there are no objections the Head of Highways and Engineering be authorised to implement the installation of the speed cushions.
