The Economic, Planning and
Housing Committee is responsible for holding decision-makers to account for improving
outcomes and services relating to the local economy, planning and
housing in the borough. They are equally tasked with supporting the
work of the Cabinet and Council, and providing alternative
recommendations for service delivery and improvement where
necessary. The committee, who set their own
work programme, are able to conduct in-depth analysis of policy
issues by questioning expert speakers and Cabinet Members, and
conducting their own research.
