Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is responsible for performing the functions of the Licensing Authority. The committee considers and determines matters relating to Premises Licenses, Personal Licenses and Temporary Events Notices. More generally, the committee is responsible for considering all matters relating to the licensing of local food and drink establishments, hackney carriage vehicles, and all other matters as required under the terms of licensing legislature. Where an appeal is made against a decision, a sub-committee constituted by three of the Licensing Committee will consider the appeal.
