facilities at the former public house, the  Beacon, which includes an option to purchase the
council’s freehold interest subject to valuation.

Reasons for the decision

To assist the wider regeneration of the
Buckskin and South Ham regeneration project by enabling the
delivery of community space replacing in part the displaced
community facilities from Westside Community Centre.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing- the existing lease could be handed
back to the council who could relet the site for commercial use
