Purpose

To appoint Registered Providers as partners
under the council’s preferred partners scheme.

Decision

To appoint the below RPs as partners under the
council’s preferred RP partnership arrangement:
 
-         Abri
-         Aster
(for social rented opportunities only)
-         SNG
-        
VIVID
-         English
Rural (for rural affordable housing opportunities only)
-         Anchor
(for older persons affordable housing schemes only).

Reasons for the decision

To appoint the recommended preferred RPs in
time for the launch of the scheme with the confirmed providers in
the New Year.
 

Alternative options considered

None – please refer to Cabinet report of
18 March 2025 where an option to not implement a preferred partners
scheme was considered and rejected.
