Purpose

To approve the
creation of an assisted purchase scheme.
 

Decision

1)     
Approve the creation of a £5,000 grant scheme for drivers who
are licenced by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council towards the
cost of purchasing/leasing a LEVC ultra-low emission hackney
carriage vehicle.

 
2)     
Note that the £100,000 of funding for this scheme would be
funded from the climate change reserve.
 
3)     
Delegate authority to the Head of Law and Governance to enter into
funding agreements with hackney carriage drivers (licenced by
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council) and the LEVC.
