Purpose

The report presents to the Portfolio Holder an
updated Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) for adoption. An
SCI, which is a statutory requirement for all planning authorities,
sets out how the public, organisations and other interested parties
will be involved and engaged in the preparation of planning
documents and also how they can be involved in the planning
application process.

guide consultation and engagement methods for the Council’s
Planning service.
