Purpose

The council's existing powers
to deal with dog fouling expire on 1/12/23. A decision is sought to
approve the renewal of these powers to combat dog owners who fail
to clean up after their pets.
 

Decision

To
delegate to the Head of Law and Governance, in consultation with
the Head of Environment and Community Services, to:
 
make amendments to the PSPO in light of and having considered
the
consultation responses (if considered necessary and
appropriate);
 
to
extend the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (Dog Fouling)
Public
Spaces Protection Order 2020
for a period of a further three years.
