Purpose

To accept an initial award of £1.745m WECA Investment Fund grant for the delivery of the Fashion Museum Bath refurbishment project - public realm initial works.

The initial works will include technical design and approvals to enable and deliver Phase 1 traffic and movement changes to enable Fashion Museum construction and Phase 2 transitional public realm improvements, alongside technical design for the Phase 3 public realm hard and soft landscaping scheme around the Fashion Museum development.

These interventions are essential to the construction phase of the Fashion Museum, and will ensure the final scheme is fully designed and approved. Public realm changes form part of the planning conditions and are an essential part of the Fashion Museum refurbishment.

Option 1 - If we do nothing the area needed for the construction phase of the Fashion Museum refurbishment will not be available to support the delivery of the wider project.
