Purpose

WECA have approved City Regional Sustainable Transport Scheme (CRSTS) re-balances across the programme. This has resulted in an uplift of funding to complete business cases for our Somer Valley Links (SVL) and Bath Walking, Wheeling, and Cycling (BWWCL) schemes. Both projects aim to improve travel through better bus infrastructure and enabling more walking, wheeling, and cycling.

Decision

To fully approve capital budget of £495k for SVL and £1.612mn for BWWCL. This is fully funded by WECA grant.

Alternative options considered

To not accept a rebalance of funding and not proceed with the full scope of these projects.
