Decision

Agree to the introduction of a
“selective” licensing scheme. The scheme would cover
all privately rented residential accommodation which fall outside
the definition of mandatory Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)
within Belvedere Ward. The selective
licensing scheme would come into force on the 1st
January 2025 and last for a 5 year period.
Adopt the fee structure detailed in the report for selective
licences.
Adopt the licence conditions as detailed in the appendices for
all Selective and Mandatory HMO Licence, including the requirements
around Accreditation.
4.
The Deputy Director (Housing and Strategic Planning)
shall implement the scheme and ensure that all statutory
notifications are carried out in the prescribed manner for the
designation.
