The Independent Panel is a non-executive committee of Bolsover District Council, appointed under the Localism Act 2011. It is responsible for considering proposals to dismiss the Chief Executive, Section 151 Officer, or Monitoring Officer. The panel offers advice, views, or recommendations to the full Council on such dismissal proposals. Membership consists of two independent persons, prioritised from local government electors within Bolsover District, other independent persons appointed by the Council, or independent persons appointed by another council.
