In July 2023 Children's Services when they
presented the original transformation Business Case were requested
to come back to cabinet and report on progress made .

Content

RESOLVED that Cabinet:
-

(a)           
Noted the
progress made with the Children’s Services Transformation
Programme and delivery of savings; and

(b)          
Approves a business
case for the full implementation of a new children’s service
delivery model by 1 October 2024 to meet the strategic and
operational requirements of the service and the Council, and to
achieve financial efficiencies and savings enabled by investment
approved in July 2023.

Reason
The
investment will enable improved outcomes for children and young
people in BCP, and the more effective and efficient services which
are needed to secure an improved Ofsted rating. In turn, this will
contribute to the achievement of c. £5.3m in annual financial
savings within the current MTFP cycle.
