Decision

RESOLVED that Cabinet resolves with immediate effect to appropriate the South Part of Beach Road Car Park (as shown edged red on the plan annexed at Appendix 1) for planning purposes pursuant to section 122 of the Local Government Act 1972 and section 203 of the Housing and Planning Act 2016.

Reason

The section of the car park described was formally closed on 31 March 2026. The appropriation removes the risk of any subsisting private rights being asserted to interfere with development of the site.
