Purpose
To consider the introduction and removal of parking restrictions in various residential roads in Binfield North & Warfield West, Crowthorne, Great Hollands, Sandhurst, Town Centre & The Parks and Winkfield & Warfield East
Decision
RESOLVED That
· the position regarding local ward Members comments received during the informal consultation process is noted;
· the formal objections received during the statutory consultation process, the corresponding Officer comments and local Ward member comments are noted;
· the Borough Solicitor be authorised to make the Traffic Regulation Order in relation to the proposals detailed on the following plan numbers:
a) 5451/002A – Benetfeld Road, Binfield (Annex A)
b) 5451/003 – Cheviot Road, Sandhurst (Annex A)
c) 5451/004 – King Edwards Road, Ascot (Annex A)
d) 5451/005 – Park Road, Sandhurst (Annex A)
e) 5451/006A – Upper Broadmoor Road, Crowthorne (Annex A)
f) 5451/007 – The Ring (police service road), Bracknell (Annex A)
g) 5451/008 – Mill Ride, Ascot (Annex A)
· The ‘no waiting at any time’ proposals in Ambassador, Bracknell are removed from the Traffic Regulation Order and not progressed.
Reasons for the decision
To continue the Council’s policy of introducing parking restrictions in locations where parked vehicles are causing safety and/or obstruction issues on the public highway.
Alternative options considered
Not to install the proposed parking restrictions - this would result in a continuation of safety and obstruction issues outlined in this report.
