Purpose

To consider the Authorisation
to Release Funds from the Inspiring Communities Match Funding Grant
Scheme – April 2025

Decision

That the following grant awards totalling
£25,000 are approved:
 
·       
Dereham Baptist Church, £5,000 to contribute towards
staff costs of running the Debt Centre for a year.
 
·       
St Nicholas Hospice Care, £5000 to fund psychological
support for adults who are dying or who have experienced the death
of a loved one.
 
·       
Age UK Norfolk, £5,000 to deliver the Later Life
Companionship project, which includes telephone befriending and
travelling companionship, for people in later life across
Breckland.
 
·       
Dereham Meeting Point, £5,000 to open the service for
an additional day at the weekend.
 
·       
The Joe Dix Foundation, £5,000 to support the
foundation’s work in Breckland District.
