Purpose

Approval to receive grant funding of £86,970 from
Norfolk County Council from the Norfolk Better Care Fund to support
the Breckland Safe at Home service.

Decision

To receive £86,970 from Norfolk County
Council to fund the Breckland Handyperson Service, ‘Safe at
Home’, for 25-26

Reasons for the decision

This grant is to fund the Breckland
Handyperson, ‘Safe at Home’ service for 25 / 26 –
through minor interventions it enables Breckland residents to live
in their homes for longer, avoid or delay long term admissions to
residential or nursing accommodation, reduce hospital admissions or
facilitate timely discharges.  The
scheme is run by the District Direct Service.

Alternative options considered

This is a funded scheme therefore other
options are not relevant.
 
There are no financial risks to Breckland
Council as this funded through the Better Care Fund.
