Purpose

Authorisation to release funds from the
Communities Transport Grant Scheme – June 2025.

Decision

That the following 2 x Transport Grant Awards
of £500 each are approved.
 
Ashill Welfare Charity -
£500 The funding would be used to directly support
residents in Ashill who have complex medical needs to help with
costs towards travel to NHS hospitals in London and other national
hospitals as well as local NHS hospitals.
 
Mid Norfolk Stroke Group -
£500 The funding would allow the group to organise
taxis or community cars to transport people to the group. Some
stroke survivors are unable to drive, or unable to get into an
ordinary car (wheelchair access required), unable to get public
transport.

Reasons for the decision

These initiatives focus on transport barriers
in relation to connection into local community activity &
services, for improved health and well-being outcomes.
