Purpose

Authorisation to Release Funds from the Communities Spark
Fund - November 2025

Decision

That the following 2 Spark fund grant award
totalling £1000 is approved.

Beachamwell Parish Council £500 -
To reprint the local footpath maps to be distributed from the
village hall. The artwork has been done by community members to
encourage walkers to the area - It supports the Village Hall who
cater for the organised walking promoted, the Ramblers rent the
village hall and use it as a base to park and walk from - returning
at the end of the walk.  It brings
nearby people to the Parish. It supports residents with outdoor
activities and accessibility.

Litcham Jubilee Hall CIO £500 -
To allow residents to socialise in a warm space during winter and a
welcoming space in summer, chat and catch up with others and
hopefully develop friendships and a support network.
Lunches are very popular with 30 people coming
to each event. The community lunches continued monthly throughout
the year, with the Spark Fund helping to subsidise the winter
sessions.

Reasons for the decision

To enhance existing provision,
which improves community health and wellbeing and aligns to the
Inspiring Communities Corporate Plan priorities. These activities
aren’t currently available in the local area or easily
accessible in a nearby Ward.

Alternative options considered

·
To award the grant
funding

·
Not award the grant
funding
