Purpose

GOSS Website Renewal Contract

Decision

The IT and Digital Manager
approve the renewal of the Council’s corporate website
contract with the existing supplier, GOSS, to ensure continuity of
digital services, maintain compliance with accessibility and
governance requirements, and support ongoing service delivery. The
renewal will be undertaken in accordance with procurement rules and
existing contractual frameworks, with expenditure contained within
approved budgets.

Reasons for the decision

To approve the renewal of the
Council’s corporate website platform contract to ensure
continuity of digital service delivery, maintain statutory online
services, support accessibility compliance, and avoid service
disruption. The renewal enables continued hosting, maintenance,
support, and development of the Council’s public-facing
website and associated digital forms.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing / allow contract to
expire: Rejected due to significant operational risk, loss of
digital services, and non-compliance with statutory
obligations.
Full re-procurement exercise:
Considered but not pursued at this stage due to timescales, cost,
and the need to maintain service continuity while wider digital
strategy work progresses.

timelines without unacceptable risk to service availability and
delivery.
