Procurement Contract for the bulk storage and distribution
of  Food Waste Caddies and Wheelie
Bins

Decision

To award the
contract to Jett Trade Ltd, for the bulk storage and distribution
of food waste caddies and wheeled bins.

Reasons for the decision

The implementation
of the Simpler Recycling legislation requires waste collection
authorities to implement a household food waste
collection.
 
Breckland Council
will provide appropriate containers to enable the collection of
food waste from all households.
 
As a new service,
the Council has purchased the containers, and this procurement is
for the storage and distribution ahead of the service going
live.
 
Following a
procurement process, the contract was awarded to Jett Trade Ltd,
with a value of £115,400.
 
Burdens funding to
support the implementation of the new service will be used to fund
this contract.
