Authorisation to Release Funds from the Communities Spark
Fund - February 2026
Decision
That the following 3 Spark Fund grant awards
totalling £1500 are approved:
YANA £500 – To deliver
Rural Big Breakfasts across Breckland in collaboration with
Breckland Farmers Wildlife Network, to support those working in
agricultural and rural communities with a variety of support
agencies around raising awareness for Mental Health.
Yaxham Village Amenities Association
£500 – To support the expansion of the current
twice monthly community coffee mornings to run weekly, providing a
warm welcome space for residents to meet alongside support services
and activities for all ages.
Aldiss Park Bowls Club £500 - To
run sessions which will take place on Wednesday and Sunday
afternoon. They will be open to any
members of the public who are looking to start playing bowls which
greatly improves physical and mental health.
Reasons for the decision
To enhance existing provision,
which improves community health and wellbeing and aligns to the
Inspiring Communities Corporate Plan priorities. These activities
are not currently available in the local area or easily accessible
in a nearby Ward.
