Purpose
Norfolk Supported Housing Needs Assessment & Strategy
Decision
To receive £43,846 from MHCLG towards undertaking a supported housing needs assessment & strategy for the district. To also act as the lead authority for the districts in Norfolk to process their allocated funding from MHCLG.
Reasons for the decision
This additional funding supports the government requirement to have a new supported housing strategy at district and county level.
This will be used to fund the procurement of a consultant to undertake a needs assessment & strategy County wide. To be the lead district council on all project management & procurement activity of a consultant and lead on all engagement work and subsequent needs assessment & strategy that is future proofed for the next 5 years.
An MoU & SLA is in place with all the district councils outlining their agreement to this process.
Alternative options considered
This is additional funding for the homelessness prevention within the service, so no other options are relevant.
