Purpose

To adopt the reviewed Thetford Conservation
Area Appraisal

Decision

That Cabinet approves and formally adopts the
final Thetford Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for
use in the determination of relevant planning applications
following notification to the Secretary of State for Culture,
Media, and Sport as well as Historic England of the intention to
vary the boundary of the Conservation Area.

Reasons for the decision

The production and adoption of the
Conservation Area Appraisal for Thetford town centre will allow the
Council in its role as the Local Planning Authority to determine
relevant applications in accordance with up to date and relevant
guidance. The recommendation will ensure that it is a usable and
practical document that fulfils its requirements to the public.
