Purpose

To prepare a Breckland Design Guide to help
raise the standards of the design of development in the district
and to ask Cabinet to approve the final draft for public
consultation.

Decision

RESOLVED that:
 
1)    
the Breckland Design Guide be endorsed for public
consultation, as set out in Appendix A to the Report.

 
2)    
delegated authority be granted to the Strategic
Planning Policy Manager, in Consultation with the Executive Member
for Strategic & Operational Planning, to make minor
non-material consequential changes to the documents as
necessary
 

Reasons for the decision

This approach will enable the
Council to progress its ambitions to support growth which is
well-designed and clearly articulated and supported through the
planning process.

To consult on the
draft to help finalise and approach.

2)    
Do nothing.
