Authorisation to release funds from the Communities
Transport Grant Scheme - November 2023

Decision

That the following Transport grant awards totalling £1000
are approved:
 

·       
Wayland Partnership Trust Memory Café -
£500:

The funding would allow service users who
are struggling to attend due to a lack of transport links to attend
the group.

They would set a fair costing between
homes and the Cafe and either reimburse volunteers or make direct
payment to a local taxi company as required.

Enable Thetford -
£500:
This funding would allow them to use taxi companies
which they have already developed good relationships with, to
enable service users who need their support to access the group,
when they otherwise wouldn’t be able. Enable have been
involved in a taxi voucher scheme previously, until the firm
withdrew from the scheme. They hope to reinstate this with another
firm, but if this is not feasible they
would arrange journeys with preferred local companies
