Purpose

Authorisation to release funding to Thetford Town Council for their application Heart of the Brecks Sculpture Trail, these sculptures will be positioned around the Town Centre and the surrounding areas Castle Park and the river in Thetford (see full report).  It was secured under Section 106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 in relation to Planning Permission 3PL/2010/0013/F.

Decision

Breckland Council authorises the release of funds totalling £2993.00 towards the Heart of the Brecks Sculpture Trail for Thetford Town Council from the Recreational Contribution held by the Council in accordance with Section 106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 in relation to Planning Permission 3PL/2010/0013/F(see full report).

Reasons for the decision

This work is consistent with the requirements within the S106 Agreement as detailed above. 

It is recommended that delegated authority is granted to release £2993.00 from the Recreation Contribution held by the Council in accordance with S106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 under planning application 3PL/2010/0013/F towards this project.

Alternative options considered

·         Fully fund this application as set out in the report.
