Content

That the Corporate Director Finance and
Resources:
 
i)            
Approves the extension of the contract for provision of laptops
with Computacenter (UK) Limited for a period of 12 months.

Reasons for the decision

The Council entered into a contract for
provision of laptops with Computacenter (UK) Limited on 22 December
2021. The contract was for an initial year of two years and
contains provision permitting extension of the contract by two
12-month extensions. Officers consider extending the contract by 12
months will achieve best value for the Council and is reasonable in
all the circumstances.

Alternative options considered

Officers considered other options such as not
extending the contract and re-procuring, however, the unit price of
the laptops under the existing contract is considered to offer best
value for money.
