Purpose

To approve payment
to Via New Beginnings for work undertaken in 2024/25 pending Direct
Award of the reprocured contract for the service through the
Provider Selection Regime.

Content

That the Cabinet member for Community Health
and Wellbeing, having consulted with the Leader:
 
i)                
Notes that the Integrated Treatment Recovery Wellbeing and
Subtance Misuse Service was provided to
the Council by VIA Community Ltd under a contract expring on 31 March 2024.
 
ii)              
Notes that VIA Community Ltd has continued to provide the
Integrated Treatment Recovery Wellbeing Substance Misuse Service to
the Council since 1 April 2024 and that payment is due in respect
of the said service provision to such date as services cease.
 
iii)             
Notes that the Council is to procure a replacement Integrated
Treatment Recovery Wellbeing and Substance Misuse Service, with the
proposal to seek Cabinet authority in November 2024 for the
procurement of the contract under the Provider Selection
Regime.
