Audit, Governance & Standards Committee

The Audit, Governance & Standards Committee provides independent assurance on Brentwood Council's risk management, control environment, and governance. It oversees the Council's Constitution and promotes high standards of conduct.

The committee reviews the overall budget process, focusing on governance and controls, but not budget details. It monitors financial reporting, internal and external audits, and Council policies on risk, fraud, and emergency planning. It also considers standards complaints and makes recommendations to the Full Council.
