RESOLVED:
 

That Housing & New Homes Committee:

 

2.1     
Notes results of the consultation on the proposed selective
licensing scheme, as summarised in this report and detailed in a
Consultation Findings’ Report by CJ Associates at Appendix
1.

 

2.2     
Designates the four wards below as subject to selective licensing
under section 80 of the Housing Act 2004 from 2 September 2024 and
to run for a period of five years.

· Kemp Town

· Moulsecoomb & Bevendean

· Queens Park

· Whitehawk & Marina

and authorises the Executive Director for Housing,
Neighbourhoods and Communities to issue a statutory
notification.

 

2.3     
Designates the thirteen wards below as subject to selective
licensing under section 80 of the Housing Act 2004.

· Brunswick & Adelaide

· Central Hove

· Goldsmid

· Hanover & Elm Grove

· Hollingdean & Fiveways

· Preston Park

· Regency

· Rottingdean & West Saltdean

· Round Hill

· South Portslade

· West Hill & North Laine

· Westbourne & Poets Corner

· Wish

And authorises the Executive Director for Housing,
