Purpose

To seek approval to accept and spend funding
via the existing Waking Watch contract and approval to procure and
award a new contract for Waking Watch at the Council’s
high-rise blocks.

Content

The
Committee for Homes and Housing Delivery RESOLVED (unanimously)
to:
1.     
Approve the expenditure as set out in this report to
continue providing waking watch services to the required high-risk
blocks until the remediation works have been completed, via
existing programmes of work in line with the proposals set out
above in the report.
2.     
Authorise the Executive Director of Growth and
Regeneration in consultation with the Chair of the Homes and
Housing Delivery Committee to take all steps required to extend
existing contracts and procure and award a new Waking Watch
contract, in-line with the procurement routes and maximum budget
envelopes outlined in this report.
