Purpose

1. To inform the Committee on the progress
with the City Council Decarbonisation Programme
2. To seek the views of the Committee on how they wish the
programme to develop

Content

The
Committee RESOLVED:
 
1.   
To note the progress made to date (60% reduction)
and the actions planned in the next 2 years which could result in
the achievement of a c.90% reduction in the direct emissions from
city council’s operations described in this
report.
2.   
To note the BCC Decarbonisation strategy set out in
this report, the decisions made by the Committee and planned to be
made by the Committee which implement this.
3.   
To provide comments on the progress, plans and that strategy.
4.   
To ask that Officers bring forward future proposals
to consolidate the planned reductions in the direct emissions and
which address the wider emissions related to council activities set
out in Paragraph 14.
