Purpose

In October 2024, the Children and Young People
Committee approved a decision to run a mini-competition under the
Independent Non Maintained Special Schools Framework to award a
block contract of 20 placements in an Independent Non Maintained
Special School in the Bristol area for the next 3 years. These
placements are for children who present with a range of complex
additional learning needs. The committee decision delegated the
award of the contract to the Executive Director Children and
Education in consultation with the Chair of the Children and Young
People committee.

Content

Following a mini competition a block contract
of 20 placements was awarded to an Independent Non Maintained
Special School in the Bristol area for the next 3 years. The
successful bidder demonstrated they could deliver a high quality
service which represents good value for money for the local
authority.
