Purpose

The Home Office provides these funds to
support education and opportunities for Afghan children. Proposals
comply with funding instructions and with Bristol City Council
strategy and City of Sanctuary Status.

Content

Home Office Grant funding will be circulated
to schools and early years settings in line with the numbers of
pupils that a setting has welcomed.
Two development projects will also be funded.

Alternative options considered

A flat contribution for all schools was
considered. This was rejected given the high level of variability
in numbers of children taken.
