Purpose

To enable spend of the full funding allocation
to enable delivery of access improvements including landscaping,
lighting and project management, for the entrance gateway area to
the new Ashley Down rail station which is due to open in
2024.

Content

To agree to spend the full funding allocation
(including procuring and awarding contracts over the key decision
threshold) to deliver the approved scheme and associated
landscaping for the MetroWest Phase 2, Ashley Down Rail Station:
Access Improvement Scheme.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - The alternative is to not spend the
remainder of the grant funding allocation to fully complete the
scheme which could impact station opening.
