Purpose

Temple Island Enabling Works Project is
undertaking a works package known as the ‘Common
Infrastructure Works’ which is to build a new surface water
outfall and associated drainage, make minor amendments and
extension of existing adopted highway leading to Brocks Bridge, and
diversion and installation of underground utilities infrastructure.
Planning Application Ref. No: 24/01894/FB.
By undertaking this work, the project is creating a loss of
biodiversity. To comply with Biodiversity Net Gain regulations and
the planning consent the project is offsetting the loss through
purchase of offsite units via a external provider.

Content

spend £152,640 + VAT of project budget on BNG offsite units,
via an external provider.
Procurement and Legal advice has been taken, and the market for BNG
Units has been assessed.
The provider has been chosen as they can supply the required
