Purpose

BCC via WECA have money allocated to the City
Centre project via the CRSTS funding stream. To secure this funding
for infrastructure works, a Business Case is needed. External
resource is needed to complete some parts of the Business Case,
where we do not have the capability (e.g. strategic traffic
modelling) in house.

Content

Following a tender exercise using the WECA
Professional Services Framework, a decision has been made to award
a contract to the successful consultant, Aecom. They will produce
the Strategic and Economic Cases of the business case for the City
Centre Project. This work will either be used in 1 business case
for the whole City Centre project or 4 separate business cases for
individual work packages.
