Purpose
The joint working venture has the potential to
address several key themes identified within the One City Plan
(2023, 4th Edition) by improving access to high-quality educational
facilities, promoting sustainable development, and creating
connected and inclusive neighbourhoods with access to the
facilities required to support the health and wellbeing of its
residents.
Content
Approval to agree and sign a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) between Bristol City Council and Oasis
Community Learning.
The purpose of this MoU is to set out the parameters for joint
working by the parties relating to exploration of the redevelopment
potential of the land and property on the site of Oasis Academy
John Williams (OAJW) and Oasis Academy New Oak (OANO), Petherton
Rd, Bristol BS14 9BU and Walsh Ave, Bristol BS14 9SN.
The MoU outlines several joint strategic objectives including but
not limited to; the re-provision of new primary school facilities,
re-provision of nursery facilities, provision of new Special
Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) resource, a
Children’s Home and additional C3 residential accommodation
in line with Bristol’s Local Plan.
