Purpose
Following the cabinet decision on Tuesday, 6th
September, 2021 - to approve the acceptance, the allocation to
specific projects, and the spend of capital grant from the
Department of Education (DFE.) The approval will help deliver
additional school capacity in order for the council to continue to
meet its statutory obligation and help ensure sufficient mainstream
and Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school places
are available in the city.
This decision will secure the Strategic Partnerships (Arcadis)
professional services required to provide architectural design
services up to RIBA 4.

Approval to commission the Strategic Partner
(Arcadis) to spend an additional £246,791 for the provision
of architectural design services up to RIBA stage 4 for the
following 7 projects:
Project allowed for are:
• The Harry Crook Centre
• Broomhill Infants and Juniors
• Sefton Park
• Throgmorton House
• North Star 82
• St. Anne's
• St. Christopher’s (RIBA 2 and accompanying feasibility
report)
