Purpose

To accelerate the provision of housing to meet
the Mayor’s target of making sure that 2,000 new homes
– 800 affordable – are built in Bristol each year by
2020.

Content

On 7th January 2021 an Officer Executive
Decision (OED) was obtained approving entering into a contract with
BoKlok Housing for the development of 79 affordable homes pursuant
to Cabinet delegated authority January 2020.
To update the existing OED the contract will include acquisition by
the Council and subsequent disposal of 24 shared ownership homes
which will be sold initially at a % share, with the option for the
buyer to staircase out to 100% ownership.
