Purpose

To award a civil engineering contract for the
Whiteladies Road Flood Alleviation scheme. Upgrading the drainage
network and capacity along Whiteladies Road, between
Tyndall’s Park Road and Queens Road. As part of these works
the pavement will be lifted and resurfaced, alongside the delivery
of an improved cycle facility.

Flood Alleviation scheme to ETM Contactors Limited following the
further competition procurement exercise.

Alternative options considered

The procurement route was further competition
using the existing Lot 6 option on the Highways and Associated
Works over £150,000 of Bristol City Council’s Highways
Asset Management and Associated Works Framework 2021-2025.
Conducting a tender process outside of the existing Framework
wouldn’t have delivered best value for money and would have
created additional resource pressures. Alternative scheme options
were considered and rejected following a public consultation
process.
