Purpose

To seek approval to apply for, accept and
spend (if successful) funding from the Department for
Transport’s Depot Charging Scheme to support the delivery of
electric vehicle infrastructure for the council’s fleet
operations.

Content

The Committee RESOLVED (unanimous vote in
favour):
 
1. To approve the report.
 
2. To approve the submission of a funding
application to the Department for Transport’s Depot Charging
Scheme for up to £1 million.
 
3. To authorise the Executive Director for
Growth and Regeneration, in consultation with the Committee Chair
and the s151 Officer, to accept and spend the grant funding if
awarded, and to enter into and finalise all necessary contractual
arrangements required for the drawdown and use of the grant.
