Purpose

To consider the request from the Public Rights
of Way committee to the Economy & Skills committee to explore
the use of an Article 4 Direction to remove permitted development
rights that allow fencing around Stoke Lodge Playing Fields to be
erected without the need for planning permission.

Content

That the Economy
& Skills Policy Committee concludes it would not be expedient
for the council further to explore the making of an article 4
direction for Stoke Lodge playing fields to remove permitted
development rights for the erection, construction, maintenance,
improvement or alteration of a gate, fence, wall or other means of
enclosure.
